He was predeceased by: his parents, George Russell Carruthers and Christene Annie Catherine Carruthers (Whitfield). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Carruthers (Hogan); his sister Cindy Chessie (Paul); his niece Melissa Martin (Jeff); his great-nephew Eric; his great-niece Marian; and his aunt Margaret "Mardi" Marks. He is also survived by other cousins, nephews and nieces, as well as Dorothy's brothers, sisters.
