It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Thornley (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Thornley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Clifford Thornley; her mother Mary Irene Simmonds (Roche); and her stepfather Sidney Simmonds. She is survived by: her children, Richard Peter Thornley (Sandy Stift), Michael Thornley (Pamela Fallon-Thornley), Yolanda Nandlall (Vish Nandlall) and Sonya Thornley; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Thornley, Alexander Thornley, Jake Appleby, Lauren Appleby, Finn Thornley and Oscar Nandlall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jean's memory to the Alzheimer's Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Red Cross.
