With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James William McCarthy of Fredericton, New Brunswick, born in Falmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 2, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McCarthy and Doris McCarthy (Armstrong); and his wife June Catherine McCarthy (Gregg). He is survived by: his close friend Eleanor Phillips; his children, Mary Lynn McCarthy (Peter Davison) and Ian Scott McCarthy (Vicky McCarthy); his granddaughters, Hannah Davison, Brenna and Aislinn McCarthy; and also, Sarah Dubé (Alex Dubé) and Gabby Dubé.
