James Merritt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Merritt (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on April 23, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Merritt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Merritt and Laura Merritt (MacDonald); and his siblings, Isabelle Giggie, Robert Merritt, Walter Merritt, Mary and Rosalie Merritt.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Merritt; his children, Esther Bliss (Doug) of Sault Ste and Oral Merritt (Sandra) of Moncton; his grandchildren, James Rennick (JennaLee) of Fredericton and Ashley Merritt of Moncton; and his siblings, Marion Campbell of Oshawa, ON, Betty Caron of Miramichi, David Merritt (Shirley) of Napan and Jean Ervine of Prince George, BC. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to the current Public Advisory regarding COVID-19, there will be no funeral service or visitation at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Smythe Street Cathedral, Fredericton.
