It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Robert Colford of Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Colford and Mabel Colford (Tucker); his siblings, Mary Colford, Elizabeth Robichaud (Ned), Hilda Merrill (Walter), Esther Shewciw, Louise Jones (Alden), John, Burton, Bernard and Vincent Colford; and his brother-in-law Mike O'Keefe.
He is survived by: his significant other Myrtle Colford (Ferris); his daughters, Krista Colford (Ross Chandler) of Fredericton, N. B. and Stephanie Gallant (Shane) of Halifax, N. S.; his grandchildren, Aidan, Morgan Chandler, Sophia and Jane Gallant; his siblings, Bernice O'Keefe of Fredericton, N. B. and Simon Colford (Lorna) of Fredericton, N. B.; and his siblings-in-law, Lavina Jean Colford of Bathurst, N. B., Peggy Colford of Blissfield, N. B and Peter Shewciw of Fredericton, N. B.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be a Celebration of Life by invitation only at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnapan officiating.
