It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hope Carolyn Piers (Fredericton, New Brunswick), born in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Elliott and Irene Elliott (Muckler); her husband George W. Piers; her son Peter Piers; and her brothers, Paul and Richard Elliott.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Piers (Angela), Heidi Bieber and Deidre Piers (Jamie Durnford); her daughter-in-law Kelly Worrall Piers; her grandchildren, Jonathan Piers (Marquelle), Michael Piers, Maria Piers, Jianna Piers, Zachary Piers (Sara MacLean), Shain Piers, Jared Bieber (Emily), Chloe Bieber, Mitchell Durnford, Josh and Lauren Pelkey; her great grandchildren, Taylor Piers, Jameson, Lexus Harnish, Harlen Torah Piers, Noah and Caleb Bieber; and her brothers, William (Jen), Jerry, Chester and Arthur Elliott (Kay).
Due to health restrictions associated with COVID-19, a service celebrating the life of Hope Piers will be held at a later date. Interment will be private.
For those who wish to honor the memory of Hope Piers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice House, Fredericton.
