He was predeceased by: his parents, Aage Malmberg and Lucy Malmberg (Major); his wife Elizabeth (Cronk); and his brothers, Arthur and Godfrey.

He is survived by: his children, Anne (Joe Gushue), Peter and Sarah (Charles McCormick); his grandchildren, Bridget (Patrick), Joseph (Emily), Patrick, Elizabeth (Justin), Anna, Erin and William; and his great grandchildren, Isla, Connor, Emery and Poppy.
