He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bohnsack and Henriette Bohnsack; and his siblings, Harry and Karin. He is survived by: his wife Stella; his sister Marlies Friesen; his nephews, Harry Bohnsack (Paula Steffler) and Stefan Bohnsack (Aisha Fahmy); and his niece Maria Mossman.
