He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Barlow (Paul); his parents, Alec Barlow and Ruby Barlow (Paul); his daughters, Rowena Sharpe and Jeannie Brooks; and his brother Anthony.
He is survived by: his children, Nelson Barlow (Bonnie), Arlene Brooks (Randy) and Kirk Barlow; and his grandchildren, Ernest Brooks (Jessica Clark) and Ambyr Bartlett (Adam Landry). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
