He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lovely and Anna Lovely (Giberson). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his daughters, Kelly VanDolder (Bob) of Annan, ON and Julie Lovely (Bruno Steinke) of Ottawa, ON; and his grandchildren, Leah VanDolder (Chris Grolla), Craig VanDolder (Tracy), Derek VanDolder (Kelsey), Wes VanDolder, Kyle Steinke and Cameron Steinke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

“I have known Gary since 1973. I purchased a new motorcycle that year from him. We snowmobiled together. I always enjoyed my time with Gary. He never spoke badly about anyone and always had entertaining stories to tell. We were a couple of gearheads so the latest and best snowmobiles, motorcycles and cars- trucks always gave us something to chat about. He will be missed by many people including me. Roger J Michaud”
