He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gallagher and Ina Gallagher (White); his siblings, William Jr. (Murielle), Oscar (Hazel), Albert, John (Lorette), Leo (Lyla), David, Bernard, Robert and Blanche (Don); and his brother-in-law Peter.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Gallagher (Melanson) of Fredericton, NB; his children, Paula Gallagher (Gregory Adams) of Bathurst and Terry Gallagher (Katherine Hunter) of Simons; his grandchildren, Matthew Earl Hunter Gallagher and Rachel Hunter; his siblings, Rachel, Marilyn (Charles) and Roger (Tina); and his sisters-in-law, Rosanne, Linda and Eunice. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
