It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Hansen (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Brooks and Mary Ernestine Brooks (Meuse); her son Patrick "Trackie" Brooks (Barb); and her grandchild Dakota Lee Nash. She is survived by: her sister Alice "Shawnee"; her husband John; her children, Walter Brooks (Barb), Cindy Brooks (Sheldon), Gordon "Nut" Nash (Susan) and Stephen "Stomper" Nash (Jennifer); her siblings, Linda (Bart), Frank Brooks (Lorraine), Randy Brooks (Sheila), Alice Paul, Mark Brooks Jr., Sandra Adamen, Tom Brooks (Phyllis), William Brooks (Stella), Cecil Brooks (Laurie), Ida Henry (Daniel), Arnold Brooks, Richard Brooks (Jeanie), Dion Brooks (Heather), Dana Brooks (Willa), Toby Brooks (April) and Billy Brooks (Jeannie); and her goddaughter Stephanie Nash. She is also survived by several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy will be resting at the Maqiyahtimok Center 240 Maliseet Drive St. Mary's First Nation with visitation beginning Sunday at 2pm until Tuesday July 6th at 2PM, a funeral service will follow, with social distancing measures in place at the Maqiyahtimok Center at 2pm.
