She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Lindsay and Sadie Lindsay (Niles); her spouse Melbourne Douglas "Red" Stairs; and her siblings, Lewis, Raymond, Reginald Lindsay, Ruth Haney, Grace Donovan and Ada Merrithew.
She is survived by: her children, Gary H. Stairs (Janet) of Fredericton, NB, Ross Stairs (Chantal St-Pierre) of Green Mountain, NB and Sandra Stairs of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Lindsay Stairs (Steve Dodds), Lee Stairs (Amanda), Abby Stairs (Mike Porter), Erin Stairs (Daniel Filmore) and Alyse Stairs-Lamb (Chuck Allen); her great grandchildren, Lexis Stairs, Jackson Tait, Thomas, Alex Stairs, Molly, Anna Porter, Logan, Lily and Liam Allen; her friend Robert Lamb; and her granddaughter Laura Stairs. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7).
