She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hersey and Hazel Hersey (Price); her former husband Ivan Hancox; and her brothers, Frank and Jim Hersey.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin Lyons; her sons, Robert Murray (Velma), Andrew Murray (Terri) and James Murray (Rosanne); and her stepchildren, Ricky Lyons (Shelly), Rhonda O'Donnell (Chris), Susan Coy (Dave), Brenda Pelletier (Robert), Graham Lyons (Penny), Susan Reid and Carolyn Dakin (Rob). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer society or the Diabetes association would be appreciated by the family.
