David Nightingale Obituary

Surrounded by family and close friends David Alan Nightingale of Scotchtown, NB passed away peacefully at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 19th, 2017. Dave was predeceased by his parents Howard and Alice (Poppy Simms) Nightingale. He is survived by his his wife of 41 years Jeannette (Belliveau) Nightingale, his sister Judy Ross, New Hampshire, brother Peter Nightingale, Maquapit Lake, sisters-in-law Fern Ford (Marcel Daigle), Linda Hutchins (Rick) and many dear nieces and nephews. Dave was employed at NB Power for 35 years where he made many life long friends. Dave shared his musical passion and his great talent as a gifted guitar player with his many friends in the Grand Lake and Fredericton areas. His music lives on in our hearts. There will be no funeral service or visitation, but a Celebration of Life will take place at the Douglas Harbour Community Centre from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017. There will also be a musical tribute for Dave at Dolan's Pub from 1 to 5 p.m. on September 30, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a music program of your choice.
