He is survived by: his wife Jane Yvonne Smith; his sons, Ian Jared Smith of New Glasgow and Matthew Jon Smith (Lisa) of Lower Sackville; his grandchildren, Isabelle, Aidan and Abigail; his mother-in-law Olive McDow; his siblings, Leta Bruce (David), Watson Smith (Charlotte), Thelma Bishop (Jerry) and Carroll Smith (Cindy); his siblings-in-law, Catherine MacIntosh (Donnie), Stephen McDow (Joanne), Jeffrey McDow (Rossalyn) and Brian McDow (Michelle Keddy); his father-in-law Delbert McDow; his siblings, Lova and Allison; and his sister-in-law Annette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
