He was predeceased by: his parents, Sybil Mulholland and Gregory Mulholland; and his brother Doug. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his siblings, Stephen (Laine), Chris (Donna) and Carol; his son Bruce; and also, Cheryl, Annie, Katie (Dan), Chris and Julia (Joel). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in memory of Bruce's brother, donations be made to the ALS Society of New Brunswick & Nova Scotia.
