She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Gertrude (Edmondson) and George Nelson Merrithew; her brother William Merrithew; and her brother-in-law Ralph Turnbull. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Hughson; her children, Meaghan and Shalta; and her siblings, Jane Shepard (Wesley), Phyllis Turnbull, Nancy Stilham (Victor), Faye Walker (Peter), John (Sarah) and Ronnie Merrithew (Sue). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
