With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alderic Joseph Doucet (Fredericton, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 24, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his wife Amanda Doucet (Barrieau); his parents, Helene Doucet (Pitre) and Isidore Doucet; his siblings, Adelard Doucet, Alexis Doucet, Guillaume Doucet, Edmond Doucet, Oscar Doucet, Elvina Goguen and Florine Cassie; and his sisters-in-law, Liliane Doucet, Rosalie Doucet and Geraldine Doucet.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Dixon (Scott) of New Maryland and Alice Dingley (Leigh) of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Brian, Celina, Jason, Brandon, Kristin, Lacey, Brett and Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Chase, Brodie and Peyton; his sisters, Dorina Cameron (Jim) of Rogersville and Geraldine Arsenault (Patrick) of Murray Settlement; and his brother-in-law Rheal Cassie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
