Albert Reuben Cowperthwaite Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert Reuben Cowperthwaite of Fredericton, New Brunswick, born in Durham Bridge, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Cowperthwaite and Edna Cowperthwaite (Clowater); his wife Grace; his brother Donald; his siblings-in-law, Victor, Bill, Burton Mersereau (Junior), Isabel Mersereau, Jesse McMillian, Glorna Conners and Jean MacPhail; and his late-in-life partner Carol Durepos.

He is survived by: his children, David Cowperthwaite (Catherine) of Fredericton, NB and Janice Knoechel of Calgary, AB; his siblings-in-law, Lanny MacPhail of Toronto, ON, Neola Cowperthwaite, Gracie Mersereau of Fredericton, NB and Vera Mersereau of Blackville, NB; his grandchildren, Alex (Jane Park), Brad, Emily Cowperthwaite, Paul (Carolyn), Ben (Candice) and Anne Knoechel; his great grandchildren, Bennett, Chloe, Heidi, Samuel Knoechel and Parker Cowperthwaite; and his close friends, Bonnie and Tim Brewster. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
