He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Gates and Lucille Gates (Kirouack); his wife Linda Gates (Duplisea); his son Aaron Gates (Amanda) of Saint John; his siblings, Kenney Gates (Enid) of Burlington, ON and Patricia Cook (Gary) of Sussex, NB; his granddaughter Sydney Jane; his nephew John Deschenes of Hampton, NB.; and his brother Richard Gates.
