He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmot Butterfield and Fern DeMerchant; and his brother-in-law Gene Crouse. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Reginald DeMerchant (Sherry), Blair DeMerchant (Jo Anne), Brent DeMerchant (Shelley) and Mistie Mavor (Jason); his grandchildren, Kalib, Kasey, Josh, Brady, Summer, Haily and Christian; his great grandchildren, Fenwick, Breanna, Abby and Creeo; and his brother-in-law Lorne Hamilton.
