He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Doherty and Ruby Lively. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Doherty; his siblings, Jane Brunton (Allen), Paul Doherty, Joseph Doherty (Michelle) of Alberta and Robert Doherty of Toronto; his daughter Julie Doherty (Jamie) of Moncton; and his granddaughters, Piper Ruby, Sofia Lily and Melissa. He is also survived by the love of his life and his constant companion.
