She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Steele and Nettie L. Steele (Niles); her husband Ralph; her children, Carolyn and John; and her sister Isabell Wallace.

She is survived by: her children, Preston Coles, Alan Coles (Lynn) and Ann Collier (Greg); and her grandchildren, David Johnson (Angele), Amy Major (Jay), Andrew Lewis (Holly), Eric Lewis, Grace Collier, Shawn Coles, Tanya Trenholm (Steve), Tina Costain (Darren) and Tammy Coles. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
