It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Carter of Elgin, New Brunswick, born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred Lowther and Goldie Lowther (Weeks); her grandchildren, Nathan, Alicia and Misty; and her sister Eleanor.

She is survived by: her husband Gerald Carter; her children, Susan White, Lesia Hachey, Diana Hachey (Trevor McKay) and Christopher Hachey; her siblings, Cheryl Coates, Robert, William and Kenneth Lowther; her brother-in-law Terry Crawford; and the father of her children Leo Hachey. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
