He was predeceased by: his parents, Newman Brantnall and Leona Brantnall (McKinley); his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Brantnall and Sharon Brantnall; and his brother Russell Dobson.

He is survived by: his close friend Anne Steeves of Edgett's Landing; his children, Darrell Brantnall (Deanna) of Riverview, Marie Russell (Percy) of Lower Coverdale and Tammy Brantnall (Tad) of Hillsborough; his grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan, Kelsey, Katie and Tyler; his great grandchild Hayden; his siblings, Helen Dobson (Elroy) of Moncton, Rhoda Pye (Earl) of Beaverbank, NS, Mary Woodworth (Arden) of Hopewell Hill, NB, Gary Brantnall (Diane) of Hillsborough and Cerdic Brantnall (Alma) of Cardiff, ON.; and the mother of his children Marilyn Steeves. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
