It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice E. Trecartin of East Brighton, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wavel DeMerchant and Priscilla DeMerchant; her sons, Eric Trecartin of East Brighton and Ozzie Trecartin; her grandson Tyler King; and her sisters, Dorothy Trecartin (David) and Shirley Carten.
She is survived by: her husband Eric Trecartin of East Brighton; her children, Joey Trecartin (Sabra) of Limestone, Steven Trecartin of East Brighton, William Trecartin of East Brighton and Jeremy Ritchie of Woodstock; her grandchildren, Bon Trecartin, Ozzie King, Brittany King, Heidi Trecartin (Caitlin Prosser), Zachry Marr, Lincoln Trecartin, Gabrielle Johnson (Zachary), Isaiah Trecartin, Cooper Trecartin, Wavel Trecartin, Derrick Trecartin, Mary Trecartin, Gunner Trecartin, Erica King, Kris Michaud, Lily Ritchie, Ella Ritchie and Nova Ritchie; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Ceara, Jackson, Cherri, Connor, Ryatte, Jaxon, Destiny, Oliver and Dexter; and her siblings, Juanita Sprague (Lester), Kenny Boyer, Jimmy Boyer (Joyce), Murray DeMerchant (Carolyn), Kay Grant (Doug), Matthew Cogswell (Angela), Maynard DeLong (Cindy) and Debbie Ritchie (Cliff). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Britton Funeral Home (2 High St, Hartland, NB E7P2L2). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
