He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Haines and Elsie Haines (Scott); his brother Gerald Haines; his nieces, Beth Perry (Haines) and Lisa Haines; and his great-niece Madison.

He is survived by: his sister Dixie Grant (Dana) of Canterbury, NB; his sister-in-law Debbie Haines of Nackawic, NB; his nephews, Scott Haines (Kim), Jason Haines (Erin) and Ian Grant (Lacey); his niece Meaghan Donoghue (Josh); his great-nieces, Leah, Avery, Mackenzie and Adelynn; his great-nephew Zachary; and his pet Dolly.
