He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary Margaret Lyons of Doaktown; his parent Harold Lyons; and his siblings, Helen Donald, Esther Clowater, Annie Morrell, Charles and Emmitt.

He is survived by: his parent Olive Lyons (Betts); his children, Belva Brown (Malcomb) of Storeytown, Merva Lyons (Norm) of Kamloops, Lunn (Sherry) of Port Alberni, Timmy (Diane) of North Vancouver, Jeff (Karla), Brent (Carol) of Prince George, Peter and Daniel of Doaktown; his stepchildren, Barb Curran (Justin) of Halifax, Karen Connors of Fredericton, John (Ruth) of Bettsburg Road and Gerald (Marg); and his brother Lloyd of Doaktown. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

In his memory, donations to Alzheimer's Society or a memorial of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
