He was predeceased by: his father Gerald "Butch" Akerley. He is survived by: his mother Doris Akerley (Maude); his daughters, Shanel Akerley (Sébastien Goiziou) and Gabriele Akerley; his siblings, Sharon Akerley, Brenda Akerley, Tammy Akerley-Cyr (François Cyr), Kim Akerley and Kevin Akerley; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
