She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazen Brine and Cora Brine (White); her husband Valmont; and her siblings, Ruby Burke, Pearl LeBlanc, Doris LeBlanc, Gertrude Condon, Lester Brien, Roy Brine, Floyd Brine and Ralph Brine.
She is survived by: her son Bernard Melanson (Pierrette) of Shemogue; her grandchildren, Stéphanie Melanson of Fredericton, Natalie Melanson-Breau (Jérémie) of Dieppe and Jérémie Melanson (Katie) of Halifax, NS; her great grandchildren, James, Tessa and Max; and her sisters-in-law, Edna Brien of Shemogue, Élise Brine of Shediac, Claudette Brine of Pictou, NS and Cécile Brine of Bedford, NS..
