She was predeceased by: her parents, Aimé and Élise; her husband Edgar "Slim" Melanson; and her brother Alfred LeBlanc. She is survived by: her children, Annette Leatherman (Donn) of Bathurst, Denise Melanson of Indian Island, Louise Melanson (Fred McNeill) of Fredericton, Lucille Melanson (Ralph McFarlane) of Moncton, Suzanne Irving (George) of Moncton, Paul (Debbie Hopper) of Indian Island and Charles (Kim Ngoc Vu) of Montreal; her sister Noëlla Lozeau (late Peter) of Shediac; her grandchildren, Daniel, Geneviève, Justin, Katie, Rory, Ryan, Sophia, Lucia, Gabriel, Philippe, Jeffrey, George, Julia and Collin; and her great grandchildren, Micah and Theodore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
