He was predeceased by: his parent John Gillis. He is survived by: his parent Marie Gillis (McCabe); his wife Maria C. Hernandez-Gillis of Moncton; his children, Katrina M. Gillis of Vancouver, BC, Sean Gillis (Vanessa) of Moncton, Francis J. Gillis Jr. (Andreina Pulido Rozo) of Bogata and Colombia; his granddaughter Brooklyn Maria Gillis; and his siblings, Betty Ann Gillis (Rick Leitman) of Ottawa, ON, Cathy Gillis (Steve Ross) of Canmore, AB and Richard Gillis (Nancy) of Miramichi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
