She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Caouette; and her siblings, Roger (Corinne Potvin), Alban (Anita Mailly), Conrad (late Marie Mai Lavoie), Lewis (Gisèle Boulanger), Lucien (Lise Plamondon), Marthe (late Éric Boutot), Gilberte (late Roger Levesque) and Lucille.
She is survived by: her husband Bernard Michaud; her sons, Guy (Marcella Lapointe) of Saint Léonard, NB, Gilles (Rita McNeil) of Ottawa, ON and Luc (Nadine Malenfant) of Dieppe, NB; her grandchildren, Julie Mazerolle (Luc) of Saint Léonard, NB, Lindsie Tardif (Billy) of Moncton, NB, Éric Michaud of Victoria, BC, Danie Michaud of London, England, Alexis Michaud (Vickie) of Shediac, NB and Maxime Michaud (Katia Arsenault) of Cap Pelé, NB; her great grandchildren, Marilou, Magali, Fred, Maya and Eva; her siblings, Carmel (late Berthe) of Edmundston, NB and Odette Duggan (Paul) of Toronto, ON; and also Dorice. She is also survived by her many nephews, nieces and friends.
Although Dorice appreciated the beauty and symbolism of the gift of flowers, her expressed wishes are that donations be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society New Brunswick Division or to the Myeloma Foundation 8849M Inc., 17 Bliss-Noiles Street, Dieppe, NB E1A, 0W7.
