She was predeceased by: her parents, Alyre Legere and Hélène Legere (LeBlanc); her husband Louis Y. Melanson; her son Gérard; and her siblings, Stella, Ulysse and Yvon.
She is survived by: her son Gilles of Moncton; and her sisters, Fernande Drisdelle (late Laurie) of Fox Hill, CT, Bernadette LeBlanc (late Richard) of Moncton and Thérèse Pollock. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
