He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Bannister and Ethel Bannister (Mason); his siblings, Deborah Garber, Helen Bishop (Orris) and Russell "Sonny" Bannister; and his siblings-in-law, Lynda Bannister (Lenny), Charles Murphy and Floyd MacCallum (Julia).
He is survived by: his wife Maureen (Weir); his children, Heidi Cunningham (Derek) of Colpitts Settlement and John-Ross Bannister of Colpitts Settlement; his granddaughters, Victoria and Veronica Cunningham; his siblings, Ruthie Leaman (Russell), David Bannister (Helen), Leonard Bannister, Coreen Clark (Doug) and Kellie Hodgin (John); his sisters-in-law, Ardis Noiles (Andy), Julia MacCallum and Gwennie Joyce (Paul); and his great-nephew Jordan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and so many friends and extended family.
