He was predeceased by: his parents, Prosper Richard and Domithilde Richard; and his brothers, Aurèle, Edmond and Fernand.

He is survived by: his daughter Gracia Richard of Cocagne; and his siblings, Emile (late Elva) of Saint-Louis, Yvonne Daigle (Roger) of Saint-Louis, Lina Vautour (late Armand) of Saint-Louis, Clara Babineau-Chevarie (late Camille) of Saint-Louis, Jean-Baptiste Richard (late Maria) of Saint-Louis, Emerie Richard (Annette) of Saint-Louis, Rosa Daigle (Dolor) of Saint-Louis and Bertha Aucoin (Jean-Paul) of Dieppe. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
