She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ray and Katherine Marjorie; her husband Reverend Carman George Burns; the father of her children Henry Hurry; her sister Vivian Redding; and her niece Joy MacLeod.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Dawn Hurry (Joffre DuCharme), Janice Katherine Davison (Mickey) and Tanya Kim Collins (David); her stepson Dr. Peter Burns; her grandchildren, Dr. Kate Collins Ferazman (Siavash), Amy Fraser (Andrew), Sam Collins, Kelson Burns, Sarah Burns and Owen Burns; her great grandchildren, Logan, Hudson, Abby and Theo; and her sister Hazel MacLeod.
She also volunteered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
