He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Cole and Josephine Cole; his wife Lillian Cole (Gagnon); his daughter Lois Katherine Cole; his grandson Colton; and his brothers, Ralph, Max, Donny and Robert Cole.

He is survived by: his son John Cole (Karen); his grandchildren, Trew, Tyrell and Nolan; and his sisters, Harriett Andrews, Eleanor Fillmore and Barbara Maxwell. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
