The passing of Richard Irvine Bent (Chipman, New Brunswick), born in Saint John, New Brunswick leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Sr.; his aunt Vera Bent; his sister-in-law Zella Bent; his grandparents, James Irvine, Elsie Kyle, Lloyd and Edna Bent; and his father-in-law Lloyd Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Debbi (Gordon); his sons, James (Caitlyn Perry) of Henderson Settlement and William of Alberta; his grandson Tucker; his stepgrandchildren, Dyson, Kayden, Landon and Hailey; his mother Barbara H Bent (Kyle); his siblings, Brian of Alberta, Ronald Jr. (Kim) of Darlings Island, Brenda of Hatfield Point and Shelly (Mike) of Fredericton; his mother-in-law Dorothy Gordon; his sister-in-law Bonny Gordon; and his close friends, Gary McKinney of Apohaqui, Nigel McLeod of Salisbury and David Steele of Quispamsis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Belleisle Community Center.
