He was predeceased by: his sister Carole Bélanger. He is survived by: his parent Jean Guy Bélanger (Marcelle Verreaux); his wife Barb; and his daughters, Line Bélanger (Kevin Charmin) and Cindy Bélanger (Antonio Falcon). He is also survived by his parents; two sisters, and three brothers; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gilles made to the New Brunswick Heart Center (Saint John Regional Hospital) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
