He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Kennedy and Beatrice Kennedy (Foley); his wife Leola Kennedy (Nightingale); and his siblings, Gerald and Geraldine Copeland.

He is survived by: his children, Dawn, Judy, Diana, Nancy and Timothy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
