He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McKiel and Doris McKiel (Cain); his siblings, Barb, Sandra, Wally and Larry; and his sister-in-law Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Erin McKiel (Mike) and Sky; his stepdaughter Tracy Phillips (Randy); his sons, Paul and Jonathan; his stepson Aaron McQuinn; his siblings, Judy (Brian), Doug and Brian (Barbara); his grandchildren, Stephanie Wiens (Josh), Kevin Hatt, Sofia McKiel, Aria-Lynn McKiel and Kyle Greek; and his great grandchildren, Malachi and Ivy.
