She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm Meade and Elizabeth Meade; her son Tony; her grandchildren, Cassandra Long and Kyle Bragdon; and her sister Jean Meade.

She is survived by: her husband Arden Thornton of Central Waterville, NB; her children, Cordell Thornton (Michelle), Deanna Thornton, Sherry Thornton, Michael Thornton (Marina) and Nicole Hanscomb (Darrell); her grandchildren, Joshua (Tina), Melissa (Brad), Joseph (Brandi), Brandon (Kelsie), Tristan, Rachael (Jason), Justin, Katlyn (Alex), Tony, Ashley (Matt), Samantha (Seb), Michael, Anthony and Alicia; her sister Joanne Blaney; and her siblings-in-law, Gwen Christie, Delores Kaley, Edith Lyon (Wilson), Pat Thornton and Delmont Thornton. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
