Lawrence Joseph Black Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2023, at the age of 90, Lawrence Joseph Black (Central Blissville, New Brunswick), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Black and Sadie Black (Wall); his wife Grace; his daughter Karen McDonald; his son-in-law Mark Sanford; his siblings, Donald, James, Steve, Francis, Allister, Lillian Civita, Patricia Black and Kathleen Gagne; and his brothers-in-law, Fred Schreiber and Harold Sloat.
He is survived by: his children, Jo Ellen Sanford (Roland Belliveau) of Lincoln, NB and Brian Black (Catherine) of Comox, BC; his son-in-law Bill McDonald; his siblings, Margaret Sloat, John (Bonnie), Anne Kaiser (Tom), Mary Paula Powers (Jimmy) and Patricia Castaldini; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Gilbert (Carole) and June Schreiber. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as many extended family.
