He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Castonguay; his sister Alma Castonguay; his father-in-law Leo Carr; and his brother-in-law Daniel Moore. He is survived by: his wife Sherri; his sons, Evan and Connor; his father Noel Castonguay; his siblings, Francine Butler (Troy), Claude Castonguay, Brenda Phillips (Kenny), Della Baker and Evelyn Phillips (Matt); his mother-in-law Judy Carr; and his siblings-in-law, Michelle Moore and Duane Carr (Carrie). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in Francis's honor to Hospice House Fredericton.
