He was predeceased by: his parents, George Legere and Adeline Legere; his grandson Basil George; and his siblings, Albert, Adrice, Aimé, Lina, Léo-Paul, Joseph and Yvonne.

He is survived by: his wife Aline Legere; his children, Valmond of Markham, ON and Denise Vandelaar (Ron) of Oakville, ON; his sister Lorraine Landry (late Emile) of Shediac; his grandchildren, David, Karen, Steven, Jacqueline and Catherine; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Curtis, Jacob, Savannah, Josh, Rachel, Olivia and William; and his sisters-in-law, Elenor of Cap-Pelé and Lorraine of Flesherton, ON. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
