He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Kay and Ethel Kay (Anderson); his wife Laura Kay; his daughter-in-law Arlie Kay; and his sister Ruth.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Stephens (Richard) of Fredericton, John Kay (Vicky) of Ottawa and David Kay (Charlene) of Halifax; his granddaughters, Christine Stephens, Heather Angka, Bryenne, Melissa Kay and Shanleigh Read; and his great grandchildren, Hayden Angka, Mackenzie, Tessa Kay-Côté and Beckett Read.
