He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Mockler and Adrienne Belanger; and his brothers, Donald, Douglas and Carl.

He is survived by: his children, Kirby (Janelle) of Berwick, NS and Kelly (JM) of Moncton, NB; his sister Betty Anne; his grandchildren, Katie and Kalan; and his close friend Ethel Murchie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
