He was predeceased by: his parents, George Maxwell Prentice and Etta Violet Mcnaughton; and his siblings, Donald, Margaret, Robert, Dorothy, Bernice, Roland, George, Arnold, Wanda and Harold.

He is survived by: his wife Hectorine; his children, Mark, Susan (Gilles Cormier) and Julie (Gary Nachshen); and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Sara, Thomas and Emma.
